Undergraduate Minor in Entomology and Plant Pathology is designed for students
who wish to learn more about the impacts of insects, plant pathogens, and
nematodes on the environment, modern agriculture and natural resource
management. The minor provides classroom and research opportunities for
students in all life science majors. This academic background can prepare
students for graduate, veterinary, or medical school.
Students who work with faculty from Entomology and Plant
Pathology are eligible for undergraduate research support and travel awards
from various professional societies.

Undergraduate research funding can also be obtained from the
Office of Undergraduate Research (http://ugresearch.utk.edu/). Individual
faculty members often have funding to support research or Extension activities.
