As part of a university-wide effort to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and provide standardized services and support, UTIA will be migrating active users of our Zoom system to UTK’s Zoom system later this month. Zoom account NetID's beginning A-K will be migrated June 25, and NetID's beginning L-Z will be migrated June 26.

On June 25-26, OIT will initiate the migration process, at which point you will receive an email like the one shown below. In order for your account to be successfully migrated from the UTIA to UTK Zoom system:

  • Click on the link in the email to approve the request to migrate your account.

Once you have approved the request, you will be prompted to sign into UTK’s Zoom system at https://tennessee.zoom.us, and at that point you will see that your account has been migrated with all of your previously scheduled meetings and other settings preserved.

With your account migrated, you will also need to sign out of the Zoom client on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Here are some screenshots to help you do that on a computer.

  • Click your profile picture or initials in the top right of the Zoom client, and select Sign Out from the menu:

  • Next, click Sign in with SSO

Finally, if you have existing scheduled meetings (including the day of your migration), your Meeting Link / Join URL will have changed from utia.zoom.us to tennessee.zoom.us in the Zoom system.

You will need to update either your Outlook calendar invitations to include the new Meeting Link, or send the new link to your participants via email. Here are some screenshots showing how to do that when signed into tennessee.zoom.us.

  • Click on Meetings, then click on the meeting for which you wish to get the new Meeting Link:
