Personal Finance Training for Teachers

About The Workshops

UT Extension is an approved provider by the Tennessee Department of Education to prepare high school teachers to teach Personal Finance. Extension educators are offering two-day workshops across the state that will provide the 14 hours of training for teachers to meet the employment requirement to teach personal finance. Participants must attend both full days in order to receive the Tennessee Department of Education employment requirement to teach personal finance. There is no charge for the workshops.

UT Extension offers:

  • Two-day workshops across the state (14 hours)
  • National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP) curriculum
  • Supplemental personal finance instruction and resources
  • Training that meets the Tennessee Personal Finance content standards

NEFE HSFPP student guides and instructor manuals are FREE to participants. Workshops are offered at no charge to participants.
