Conserve, Protect, Manage, and Restore Our Natural ResourcesThe Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries is under the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, AgResearch, and Agricultural Extension at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. We house two exciting areas of study: the forestry major, and the wildlife and fisheries major. The department also has multiple master’s degree programs and a doctoral program in natural resources.
Our curricula focus on a mastery learning approach, emphasizing practical, hands-on experiences in the chosen field of study. Additionally, FWF’s faculty, staff, and students conduct research and extension that advances the science and sustainable management of our natural resources.
