Perspective on the Future of Ag Leadership

What does the future hold for agricultural leaders? Fifteen students explored that question last fall in an intensive new seminar series offered by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. To find answers, students met an array of standout current leaders, many of whom are alumni, to brainstorm together about the future of agriculture and how students can prepare for careers that meet society's projected needs. Learning in an institution the size of the University of Tennessee with its mission as the flagship land-grant in the state brings outstanding benefits. Among them are stellar faculty conducting state-of-the-art research, great learning resources and library, a wonderful slate of courses, and an exposure to a wealth of experiential learning opportunities.
