The Smith International Seminar Series assists faculty, staff, and students increase their international engagement. Using success stories from UTIA and its partners, the series covers relevant topics such as creating international partnerships, engaging graduate students in international opportunities, steps in developing study abroad opportunities, developing international teaching, research and Extension collaborations, and many more.  



Dates and locations of upcoming Seminars 

Tuesday, March 20, Brehm 142, 12:30 - 1:30 - Current interns from Zamorano University, Honduras will discuss their duties and research while studying at UTIA. Faculty members will also discuss how this program has benefitted their departments.

April 2018 - 2018 USDA Borlaug fellow Mykola Kalashnyk (Ukraine) and his faculty mentor, Dr Shigetoshi Eda (Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries) will discuss Mykola's fellowship; other UTIA faculty who have recently hosted Borlaug fellows will discuss their experiences with the program and how faculty can apply to host future Borlaug fellows for 3 months at UTIA.
