Directions for completing the UT International Travel Registration

All UT travelers (faculty, staff, students) must complete the UT international travel registration prior to any international travel related to UT work. These directions (below) provide directions for faculty and staff in completing the travel registration online process. Please note that UT cannot complete direct bills of airfare until your travel registration is complete. A new travel registration must be completed for every trip. If traveling as part of a group or a team, all individuals must complete the travel registration.

Step 1:  Below is a screenshot of the first page of the travel registry, where you should select "Apply Now".

Step 2: Register for Destination.

The next screem will require you to:

A. Select a term timeframe of travel (corresponding with your travel dates).

B. Select dates of travel (arrival date in country to which you are traveling, and departure date from that country).

C. Select a location from CIE's list.
     * If your country is not listed, please contact the International Travel Coordinator, at itr@utk.edu.

When you've completed these selections, select "Apply".

Step 3: The final page will have two sections to complete.

First, select the two signature documents (screenshot below) and complete the questionnaires.

Step 4: Complete registration.

Secondly, on the final page, also complete the Emergency Contacts form for international travel and the International Travel Registration Destination Information.

Once you have completed these tasks, your UT travel registration should be complete. This will then be reviewed by CIE and travel authorized.

If you have any questions about the process, please contact the International Travel Coordinator, at itr@utk.edu.

Please visit the FAQs page for assistance as well.
