From the Senior Vice President
and Senior Vice Chancellor
June 5, 2020
Knowing the summer months are upon us, this week's Fireside Chat focused on two areas in which activity is beginning to increase: travel and in-person meetings. As you consider plans for personal or work-related travel, and attending in-person meetings or other events, please take a look at the revised guidelines which address these important activities. You may also talk with your supervisor if you need additional clarification on your particular situation and refer to the questions provided in the guidelines.
In addition, remember to get your COVID-19 training completed by June 10. You should have received an individual email with the link, and you will receive reminders if you have not yet completed the training. UTIA is more than 74 percent complete, which indicates a great effort by our faculty and staff. Thanks for taking the fifteen minutes to review this summary of the requirements for re-entry to our workplaces.
I know these continue to be challenging times, and your continued commitment to doing the right thing is very much appreciated. As I shared this morning, if you have ideas on how we can better facilitate and take positive steps towards eliminating racism and making sure everyone is treated with respect and fairness, please let me know.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
