From the Senior Vice President
and Senior Vice Chancellor

June 12, 2020

Today's Fireside Chat took a slight deviation from the issues of the day to reflect on something inspirational during this time of strife. We had the honor of hosting Bill Dance, a professional fisherman, TV personality, and Tennessee Icon. Bill is one of the greatest and most recognizable outdoor sports figures in the world. With his trademark Power T cap, Bill has been an ambassador for the University of Tennessee for decades. He shared some lessons from his incredible life story that we can all use as we look at serving the Institute and our communities. Many thanks to Bill for taking the time to join us today.

Obviously, we are still dealing with issues surrounding COVID-19 and realize you may be seeking more information. Please post any questions to the coronavirus website and we will get answers to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, take time for yourself this weekend and enjoy the natural resources provided by the outdoors – fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming, or just relaxing. Let's follow Bill Dance's example of remaining committed to our own health and the health of others, our careers, and those we serve.

Have a great weekend,
