KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tiffany Howard has joined the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and the University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc., as director of advancement for the central Tennessee region.
 
“Tiffany is a proven professional with exceptional communication skills and a solid track record in agriculture,” said UTIA Chancellor Larry Arrington. “She is well-received around the state and has dedicated her career to the betterment of agriculture and natural resources in Tennessee.  We are well-pleased to have her join the Institute and UT Foundation.”
 
In this newly created role, Howard will be responsible for advancement efforts for the Institute of Agriculture in the central Tennessee region, working out of the Middle Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Spring Hill.
 
“Tiffany joins a remarkable team of professionals who focus on working with external entities to support what the Institute does,” said UTIA Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement Keith Barber.  “Her skills, attitude, and integrity integrate well with her new teammates and she will hit the ground running.  Always humble, Tiffany will accomplish great things throughout her life and we are fortunate to have her at UTIA and the UT Foundation.”
 
Howard has served as associate director for the public policy division of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation for the past five years.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University and is currently working on a master’s degree in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources in Knoxville.
 
The UT Institute of Agriculture provides instruction, research and public service through the UT College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the UT College of Veterinary Medicine, UT AgResearch, including its system of 10 research and education centers, and UT Extension offices in every county in the state.
