JACKSON, Tenn. – The Madison County Master Gardeners will host their annual spring plant sale on Saturday, May 9, at the University of Tennessee Extension Auditorium located at 309 North Parkway.  The sale runs from 7 a.m. until noon.
The sale will offer a wide selection of shade and sun perennials and annuals, including shrubs, trees, herbs, vegetables, tropicals and groundcover. Jason Reeves, curator, UT Gardens, Jackson, will add top -performing plants from the state botanical gardens. Additionally, the sale will feature unique garden additions such as handcrafted hypertufa pots and bluebird houses.
Master Gardeners will offer assistance during the sale, both with gardening advice and transporting purchases to vehicles. They only accept cash or check payments. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Master Gardener projects that beautify Madison County and help support the UT Gardens, Jackson.
While the spring plant sale is typically held at the UT Gardens, Jackson, due to ongoing renovations at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, the 2015 sale has been moved to the UT Extension Auditorium. It will take place rain or shine. Admission is free.
