Michael Hunt is a Systems Service Manager with Metro Nashville’s Metro Water Services (MWS) Stormwater Division.  Michael has been involved with Metro’s MS4 NPDES Permit compliance activities for over fifteen years and has been manager of MWS’ “NPDES Office” for over ten years.  His office’s responsibilities include:facilitating Metro Phase I MS4 (Stormwater Quality) NPDES permit compliance; oversight of Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control on Metro Grading Permit sites; Watershed Management activities; and providing technical assistance to other Metro offices/activities.  Michael previously worked as an industrial chemist and later for the TN Division of Water Pollution Control as an NPDES Permit writer.  He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees and has given various presentations
relating to Stormwater Management and MS4 permit compliance.

Robert Karesh was hired as the Statewide Stormwater Coordinator for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to build a team approach to stormwater permitting, education and compliance. Mr. Karesh has a strong background in stormwater regulation and water quality protection. He has served previously as a local Storm Water Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Coordinator, and an Environmental Specialist for the Division of Water Water Resources. Mr. Karesh facilitated the development of the Tennessee Stormwater Association, the Tennessee Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Training Program and Handbook, and most recently, the Tennessee Qualifying Local Program. He received his B.S. Degree in Biology, and performed post-graduate work in Environmental Planning, both at the University of Tennessee.

Clint Allison

East Tennessee native Clint Allison founded Rainscapes in 1996 as a Maryville-based irrigation company. In March 2010, Allison acquired Duck Irrigation in Knoxville, Tenn., and consolidated the two companies under the Rainscapes name. At Rainscapes, Allison manages a staff of 17 people, provides oversight and direction for the company’s projects, manages various on-site irrigation and service projects and guides the company’s business development efforts. Allison and Rainscapes hold several professional certifications. From the national Irrigation Association, Allison earned the Certified Irrigation Contractor designation. Rainscapes is also an Environmental Protection Agency WaterSense® Partner as well
as a Rain Bird select contractor. Prior to founding Rainscapes, Allison served in a design and sales capacity for Duck Irrigation for three years. He also worked for three years as an irrigation manager for McGinnis Farms which is now John Deere Landscapes. Allison received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural-Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design from the University of Tennessee in 1991. He resides in Maryville, Tenn., with his wife, Lori, and their two daughters.

Jeff Fore, PhD

Jeff Fore received a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Ecology from Oklahoma State University, MS in Biology from Eastern Illinois University, and his PhD in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from the University of Missouri.  His expertise is in stream ecology and landscape-scale agricultural conservation planning.  Jeff currently serves as the West Tennessee Program Director for The Nature Conservancy and is based out of Jackson, TN.  There, his work focuses on stream and watershed conservation.  Jeff leads conservation projects that improve water quality and wildlife habitat by reducing sediment loading and improving hydrologic function.

John Watson is President of Common Grounds Landscape Management, Inc. Before and after graduating from The University of Tennessee in 1981 He was employed by Jim McClain Nursery a full service Garden Center, Landscape Contractor, and Wholesale Nursery in Knoxville. He and his wife Suzanne purchased a division of Jim McClain Nursery in 1989 that became Common Grounds Landscape Management, Inc. He is a Past President of the Tennessee Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA).

He serves on the Boards of the Greater Knoxville Hospitality Association (GKHA) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He also serves on the advisory council for the North Knox Agriculture Education on the Halls High Campus.

Common Grounds offer complete landscape management with an excellent reputation both in the industry and the community.

Martin serves at the Central Region Extension Program Leader for Ag & Natural Resources and 4-H Youth Development.  He received his BS from Austin Peay State in Agriculture and his MS from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in Agriculture and Extension Education.  He has been with UT Extension for 21 years and has served as extension agent and 4-H specialist prior to his current role as program leader.  He is located on the Ellington Ag Center in Nashville.
