About the Facility: 

Roger Dean Stadium is the spring training home of the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins. The facility is comprised of 12 full size practice fields, 2 half fields, and Roger Dean Stadium. Roger Dean is the host to approximately 30 spring training games, 140 minor league games, and several other events throughout the year.  In addition to the Cardinals and Marlins two Florida State League teams, the facility also hosts Extended Spring Training, Gulf Coast League, Fall/Winter Instructional Leagues and Jupiter-Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA) games and practices as well as a variety of amateur tournaments throughout the year. Roger Dean Stadium was honored with the STMA Professional Baseball Field of the Year award in 2005 and 2011.

Job Description:

Daily duties include, but are not limited to mound and home plate work, infield skin maintenance, mowing, painting,  game/practice set up and breakdown, and pulling tarp.  Will assist director and assistant director of grounds with all turf cultural practices and implementing an IPM program of pesticides and fertilizers which include granular and liquid applications.  Applicants will work all spring training games and home games of assigned minor league team. 



Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and should be pursuing a two or four year degree in agronomy, horticulture, or related field with emphasis in Turf grass Management.  Must be able to work January through August or May through August 2015.
